Akshay Kumar (born as Rajiv Hari Om Bhatia on September 9, 1967) is a popular Bollywood actor.
Career
Kumar worked as a waiter in Bangkok before starting work in films. He studied martial arts in Hong Kong and is sometimes referred to as the "Bruce Lee of India". His first Bollywood film was Saugandh in 1991.
His first big hits were mostly action films such as Mohra (1994) and the Khiladi series such as Main Khiladi Tu Anari (1993), Sabse Bada Khiladi (1995), Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi (1997) and Mr and Mrs Khiladi (1997). He also had success in romantic roles such as in Yeh Dilagi (1994), Dil To Pagal Hai (1997) and Dhadkan (2000). He has also done some comedy roles in films such as Hera Pheri (2000), Awara Paagal Deewana (2002), Mujhse Shaadi Karogi (2004) and Garam Masala (2005) all of which have been huge hits at the box office.
