Kyrgyzstan (Kyrgyz: Кыргызстан, Russian: Киргизия (also known as Kirgizia), variously transliterated), formally the Kyrgyz Republic, is a country in Central Asia. Landlocked and mountainous, it borders with Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and China.
