Kerian is an administrative district in Perak, Malaysia. It is one of the main rice-growing area in the state. Local Administration is known as Majlis Daerah Kerian or Kerian District Council based at Parit Buntar.

The major town is Parit Buntar, which is located near the border of Penang and Kedah state. Other towns in Kerian are Bagan Serai, Kuala Kurau and Tanjung Piandang. The majority of the people here are Malays, with a sizeable population of Banjar people.
