Tuamgraney is a village in East Clare in the west of Ireland. It is an ancient settlement which is situated on the Graney River which flows into the Lough Derg lake. It is noted for St. Cronins church which is said to be the oldest church in constant use in Ireland. The only chipboard factory in the Republic of Ireland is also to be found at the far end of the village. Edna O'Brien the well known novelist was born in Tuamgraney in 1932.
