• A level of association football used to differentiate it from Junior or Amateur levels
• A Latin term meaning elder
• An elder
• A high-level position
• The older of two people of the same family with the same name, often a parent (for example, Ken Griffey, Sr.); see also suffix (name)
• A surname (for example, Nassau William Senior)
• A student in the fourth and last year at a school, college, or university; see high school senior
• The person who leads a cantus
• Depending on the culture a person 50 years of age or older

The opposite is junior, and in the sense of school year, freshman
