Menstrie is one of the Hillfoots Villages village in the region of Clackmannanshire.
The village currently has two pubs; The Holly Tree and the Burnside. There is also a pharmacy, two small supermarkets, one containing the Post Office, and a fish and chip shop. Menstrie also has its own primary school, a nursing home, petrol station and two churches. The river Devon flows south of Menstrie and eventually meets the Forth.
Menstrie is popular with hillwalkers, along with Blairlogie, is situated at the foot of Dumyat, probably the best-known peak in the Ochil Hills. Dumyat lies to the west of Menstrie, the first peak to the east is Myreton Hill. During the summer months, paragliders can often be seen overhead due to the ease of access and suitability of the surrounding hills.
