Minto may refer to the following:
The Canadian and Australian Mintos are all named after Gilbert Elliot-Murray-Kynynmound, 4th Earl of Minto, a popular British peer who served as Governor-General of Canada and also as viceroy of India. He may be the namesake of the American Mintos as well, but they may alternatively be named after Minto, a village near Hawick, Roxburghshire, from which the Earls of Minto get their name.
