Dania Beach is a city in Broward County, Florida, United States. The population was 20,061 at the 2000 census. As of 2004, the population recorded by the U.S. Census Bureau is 28,479.*
Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, which is located between Fort Lauderdale and Hollywood, Florida, is located in Dania Beach.
History
The first city in Broward County dating back to the 1880s. Starting as a settlement called Modello, it was incorporated in November,
1904. Most of the 35 residents were of Danish ancestry, and they changed the name of the town to Dania.
