Wed, 24 Sep 2008 04:00:00 -0000 The Department of the Army announced Sept. 24 the 4th Psychological Operations Group, 1st Psychological Operations Battalion (Bn), 3d Psychological Operations Bn, 5th Psychological Operations Bn, 6th Psychological Operations Bn, 8th Psychological Operations Bn and the 9th Psychological Operations Bn will convert to a modular design at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. These actions will result in an increase of 938 military and zero civilian authorizations at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. All stationing actions will be completed by March 16, 2010.
Army unveils new Stability Operations manual Mon, 06 Oct 2008 04:00:00 -0000 The commanding general of the United States Army Training and Doctrine Command, Gen. William S. Wallace, unveiled new Army doctrine today, Oct. 6, at the annual meeting of the Association of the United States Army in Washington. The new stability operations manual, Field Manual 3-07, puts stability operations into doctrine after it was recently introduced in FM 3-0, Operations, where its importance was elevated to the same level as offensive and defensive operations.
