Sandwich is a city in DeKalb County, Illinois, La Salle County, Illinois and Kendall County, Illinois. The population was 6,509 at the 2000 census. Sandwich is the home of the DeKalb County Fair, popularly known as the Sandwich Fair. Held yearly during Labor Day week since 1888, it is the oldest continuing county fair in the state of Illinois.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 7.8 km² (3.0 mi²), all land.
