Newton Township is a civil township of Mackinac County in the U.S. state of Michigan. As of the 2000 census, the township population was 356.

The township hall is in Gould City, an unincorporated community just south of US-2.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 401.2 km² (154.9 mi²). 384.9 km² (148.6 mi²) of it is land and 16.3 km² (6.3 mi²) of it (4.06%) is water.
