The announcements last week that Overland Park will gain 2,000 jobs — 800 of them at the expense of Kansas City — spurred plenty of mostly rancorous remarks on The Star’s Web site. By the end of last week, 120 comments had been posted to the article about JPMorgan Retirement Plan Services relocating from Ward Parkway to the Sprint Nextel campus, taking 800 jobs with it. There were more than 50 comments regarding the decision by U.S. Bank to open a service center near 127th and Metcalf, creating 1,100 new jobs.
