76ers Notes Yesterday, the 76ers guaranteed point guard Allen Iverson's contract for the remainder of the season. The move was hardly unexpected. Entering last night, Iverson had played in nine games, starting all nine, and averaged 15.7 points, 4.7 assists, and 3.4 rebounds a game.
76ers embarrassed in loss to Wizards

This was so bad, so disheartening, so embarrassing, that folks actually hung around the Wachovia Center to boo. Considering all the 76ers losses preceding it - the first one to the Washington Wizards before Thanksgiving, the second to Washington before Christmas, a dozen others sprinkled in - one might hesitate to label last night's 104-97 defeat to the Wizards the worst of the season.
